Accessibility

Independent Living Resources provides accessibility education, surveys and consultations regarding compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other legislation.

ILR can assist in the removing and/or modifying of physical barriers that prevent disabled individuals from being able to safely access public facilities. If a company is unsure what the requirements are for this, ILR can help. We offer company education and ongoing consultation to help them obtain any necessary modification that might be needed in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Adequate accessibility of the private home is also vital for a disabled person. Having proper accessibility allows that person to stay and enjoy living in their own home. Maintaining an independent way of life has shown to greatly improve the mental and physical well-being of disabled citizens nationwide.
